The Puppet’s House

It was once a nice summer day where me and my friend Jack wanted to visit a new puppet house inside town, which had opened recently.

The place was always busy, atleast that was told at the advertise on tv. To be honest, these puppets looked scary but if they had the money to show it on tv, theyve must had a really good show right ? .. Well that was what we thought until we arrrived there.

Jack drove us down there and we stood at the front gates, it was a sunday late night and a warm wind was slightly bursting across our faces.

We wondered why it was different than the advertise did show us on the tv. The place was in the center of town yes, but there was not much going on around it. It looked rather like an abondoned house with the words „Welcome to the Puppet Show“. We looked inside through the window glass but couldnt see anything and neither was there any light, expect a button on the left side of the door.

We pressed it, not knowing what might happen and wondering if it was the right location. Jack just pressed several times and suddenly the door opened…

A puppet was standing in front of us and we were stunned because we didnt knew how the puppet was talking „Greetings my guests, come in and enjoy the show“. It seemed that the puppet which had a bright and creepy smile, was attached to the ceiling.

It was pretty cool we thought and so we followed it along a long floor. After a few steps of walking, we noticed another button on the wall and asked the puppet about it. „No worry’s, press it and find out“

I pressed it and we both fell down a trap door beneth us but we landed smoothly on a bed and heard a lot of voices.

Jack looked at me said „Either this will end bad for us, or we will have an underground party tonight!“ And as we stood up and looked around, we saw the radio from which the voices came.. So there was no one else… We got to the only door in the room and pushed it open, just to notice that there were people dancing and partying to weird music. It just seemed, that they were dancing to reversed voices.

„We mustve landed on a creepy show or whatever this place is“ i said to jack. He replied „Lets get out of here, i dont like this place after hearing this „song““.

We both walked straight to the people but the closer we came, the more we saw that all of them were just .. carton drawings which were moved by strings.. This place was really creepy and those drawings looked like monsters too. They were moving so real that we thought they are real.. But how was that possible we asked ourselves, we surely saw them dancing.

„Okay lets get out of here now, search the exit“ said Jack quite annoyed and a bit stressed. I mean it wasnt like him but i didnt liked the place either because we were here without payment, so it was probably illegal too.

We searched the exit but couldnt find any, but we noticed that the cardboard puppets were moving when we didnt looked at them. We both noticed it at the same time and thought „cool but nothing really special“ – until they started to move further towards us, were no string was attached anymore on the ceiling to move them logically.

We hadnt noticed that gas was coming from the air conditioner while we were bothered.

We tried to cover our faces but it wouldnt do much, there was no door either and we both fell unconscious…

After waking up, a group of few people stood around us and were looking strange, smiling at us both. We tried to stand up but we couldnt… It was that moment, that me and Jack realised, that we were leaning against each others back and couldnt stand because we became puppets as well, waiting for our strings..

I tried to scream for help, but my mouth wasnt moving… The only thing we both were saying, „Welcome to the Puppets Show“, while the crowd fell down the same trap..
