After the sudden loss of energy i felt destroyed because i now knew what brought the problems of using blood magic. But yet i didnt knew the whole truth about it…
As i was laying on the bloody grass and looking into the sky, i wondered what the village meant before they got killed by my summon.. „You will know what it means to use that type of magic“ .. Was he meaning the pain or the emptions? I didnt really knew but destiny would try to test me again..
For how long was i unconscious i asked myself. I felt normal again … The bloody bubble which bursted infront of me and wrapped me inside all their pain, it was awful.. and the instant drop on the ground because i had no strenght to stand anymore.
But now i was back on my feet and looked around. The dead bodys were rotting and i was really hungry too. Maybe they had something nice to eat inside their houses. I know you dont steal from the dead but they were gonna torture me, so it was okay!
Before i went to the small houses, i realised that the barrier from earlier across the village was gone. This meant that those beasts would arrive here soon or atleast sneak around. I needed to be very caucious again. Maybe it was not a great idea to kill all of them. I shouldve let those live who brought the barrier up.
I took my book next to me and remembered that it was glowing red before i fall asleep. I looked inside and went to the blood magic instructions and spells and i noticed that now another sentence was added right below the last.
„Blood summoning added – Disaster level spawn“
Blood summons of the blood spells will consume all energy of the caster after the spell is dismissed. Whoever uses the summon to the limits of their level will die immediately. The more it is used, the more energy it will consume but the power will equal.
The caster will be healed and fully energised after the spell is spoken or thought with intention of the summon. “
I wonder why it always told me the important stuff after it happend.
After i knew this much, i left quickly away from the open area to the houses, looking for food. And i was lucky because first had a nice smelling stew on the table. I didnt thought much about it and immediately started eating until i was stuffed. It was really tasty i thought or maybe it was because of my hunger..
I couldve used my normal magic to not feel any hunger or exhaustion but i wanted to feel the taste of food again in my mouth ..atleast for that moment. I didnt thought that it was unnormal to take a bite after i had killed so many people.. Of course it was terrible and i knew some of them in my childhood, but they didnt seem to be warm hearted at all.
As i was standing outside of the small house, i needed to know where i should head next and how i could cloak myself to stay very low on the radar. I felt more danger now than before because of these invisible monsters.. I was lucky that these people had picked me up. What wouldve happend if no one was around?.. I couldnt rely on my basic skills of magic, they were not close enough to the outside world. I
I had decided to use blood type spells more frequently, atleast the less damaging one’s. Only if it was absolutely necessary, i would use the destruction spells.
So i used my casual cloaking spell and my higher stamina spell and started to run. As long as those things couldnt see me, i wouldnt mind if i was getting attacked by red crows again.
Moving from the high terrain down to more civilised areas after few hours of sprinting, i was getting closer to a shining forest. The crowns of the trees seemed beautiful and it was very ..welcoming. A sort of shining – warm light was coming from the inside as i was approaching.
As i was coming closer, i heard the loud scream again from earlier.. It was coming again.. Was i spotted ?? I wasnt sure and my heart started racing. Should i hide somewhere? I didnt knew what to do so i stopped running and hid behind a small bush across the field of sun flowers. This time i would need to test my enemy and see what it was and its capabilities.
So i took a few small rocks and threw it across the field, hearing a loud unnatural scream. It was close.. After throwing a few more, i could sense that it might be to close, so i slowly moved away from my spot. A few meters away after that, i noticed that the small bush where i was hiding, was completely torn to pieces without my notice .. I would be dead if i make another noise..
My heart was so racing that i thought it might hear it while i was slowly walking backwards. It couldnt see me in my cloaked state but it heard dangerously well and it was just fee steps away from me. Step by step walking backwards inside to the forest .. but my back hit something. It was another barrier, covering the forest.
Either i was really lucky or this time i would be dead. After i hit the barrier with my back, i prepared myself to use one of the deadliest blood spells against monsters in my book, which would cost my life and the earths as well. But a few moments later, nothing happend.. I heard no scream nor any foot steps approaching. Was it gone ? ..
As i was trying to be very silent and trying to hear something, i heard a few birds and the blowing wind .. I had decided to take a deep breath .. For my luck, the thing was right in front of my face, screaming loud and shattering my ear tunnel completely..again.
I was about to die and this time i was sure of it. But after the scream i noticed that i was fallen backwards and somehow landing inside the barrier. The monster was hitting the barrier and it was really loud, like something huge was hitting it. I dont know how i got inside the forest but it saved me. My ears were hurting and bleeding, so i took my book out and used a healing spell until i was recovered.
A few moments of calming down and sitting in dirt, the thing was gone and now i saw the real beauty of the forest…
