It depends on how much you want to rely on them. Dream catchers are hung over the bed to catch bad dreams and let the good dreams get through.
But lets be real here, who decided what dream weighs heavier or lighter and can get through the net ? It does not make any sense but i guess that it helps children if they can feel some sort of protection from „monsters“ and bad dreams.
In the end its just how much you put yourself in those things. If you believe it and it starts to „help“ its a good thing!
