Kater Dexter checkt die Situationen immer ganz genau!

Dexter rennt, wenn jemand vor der Haustür steht, hin und ist „Verteidigungsbereit“. Er ist sich also drüber im klaren, dass er hier zu Hause ist und im Prinzip jemand vor der Tür stehen könnte, vor dem er uns beschützen kann.

Er hat auch schon mal die Postbotin schockiert und soo übel laut geknurrt, dass sie Abstand gehalten hat, weil sie dachte wir haben einen neuen, großen Hund. Als ich ihr zeigte, das war der Kater, konnte sie es kaum glauben.

Dexter am Fenster, direkt neben der Haustür.

Er sitzt oft am Fenster und checkt ab wer draußen ist und rennt dann zur Tür.. wenn er oben auf dem Balkon ist, schaut er stundenlang den Nachbarn zu, versteckt hinterm „Zaun“.

Und wenn man mal mies drauf ist, kommen sie und setzen sich neben einen, als ob sie wissen, was los ist.

Selbst wenn man sich nichts hat anmerken lassen.

A quick blog about what house-apartment cats need.

If the sofa and wallpaper are preferred, make it essential to offer scratch boards.

My cats love real wood slices, fresh from the forest.

What you need to keep in mind:

Each cat needs its own transport box!

Please stop putting several cats in a box.

This may still work with kittens, for adult cats this is an ordeal!

Cats do NOT give each other mutual spiritual support when they are stuck in this box and they already suspect that the way does not provide anything good.

Transport boxes do not have to be open above, this is just a nice gadget, but also increased outbreak potential!

My vets prefer to open the box simply in the middle and treat unwilling cats in the box.

Now you also know why every cat still needs its own box.

What else do you need?

Personally, I have never taken out pet insurance, if your veterinarian should offer instalment payment, this is not necessary.

Fur care products are also very important.

But please, do not use fur care products for dogs or horses and get a cat brush.

These metal brushes, which you sometimes see in retail, do really anyway. You can test this beforehand and then decide whether you brush your cats‘ fur with it.

Cats don’t want to bathe and shouldn’t. Unless there are medical reasons or a stray needs a flea bath…

However, this is rather rare and cats know this and will fight back. If you want to bathe your pet, you should seriously ask yourself WHY. This is not the animal for the good!

Cat beds are a nice gadget, but cats prefer to sleep where you sleep.
